Tony Gilbert-Davis
Tony is a drummer, beat-maker, and producer who began studying drum at age 12. His family and friends provided diverse influences ranging from John Coltrane and Charles Mingus to Fela Kuti and James Brown, J Dilla and Ahmir ?uestlove Thompson to DJ Premier and Prefuse 73.
Tony continued his musical education at the Berklee College of Music in Boston, where he developed his interest in audio production and engineering. A multimedia enthusiast grounded in visual and audio arts, hip hop, and skateboarding subculture, Tony is an artist with a community-based scope, focused on education and expanding the availability of arts opportunities.
Outside of music, he can be found playing with his dog, Lula, riding and re-building bikes, skateboarding, and practicing digital photography.
