Antonio Bruno

Antonio is a freelance sound engineer who focuses on sound design and production. He began producing music in high school and continued to follow his art into college. At Columbia College he received his bachelor’s degree in audio arts and acoustics, where he also studied film. He has worked with Halcyon Theater, Agit Pop Theater, and Urban Theater Company in Chicago creating sound design for plays.

Antonio has also produced music and audio works for several independent artists. He has worked on films such as “Southern Cross,” “Dead Resin,” “The Writing’s on the Wall,” and “Brushfires,” some of which were screened at several film festivals across the United States.

Antonio is musically influenced by his parent’s record collection, ranging from salsa to Motown, but is also influenced by newer artist such as the Nine Inch Nails and Front Line Assembly. Antonio began teaching with After School Matters and Street Level Youth Media in the summer of 2009.
